Quick start

This guide walks you through opening your first project, running an agent task, and understanding the Rescriptum workflow.

1. Open a project

Click **Open Folder** or use Ctrl+O to select any directory. Rescriptum will automatically index the codebase, detect the tech stack, and prepare the intelligence system.

2. Start chatting

Type a message in the chat panel. The agent has full context of your project — it can read files, write code, run terminal commands, and iterate based on results.

3. Review changes

Every file modification appears in the editor with a diff view. You can approve or reject individual tool calls, or enable auto-approve for trusted operations.

4. Choose your model

Click the model selector in the chat header to switch between models. Rescriptum supports 300+ models through OpenRouter, organized by provider with real-time pricing.
